A Letter From HFC Regarding Plans to Return to In-Person Programming
May 19, 2021
While we are so grateful to have kept in touch with many of our members virtually over the past 14 months, we are very excited to start a new phase. After surveying our members and caregivers, and closely following local and national guidelines, Highland Friendship Club will start welcoming our members to some in-person classes in July. We will continue with our virtual classes as well.
As you will see in our new program catalog, we will offer some classes outdoors, including walking, hiking, scavenger hunts, and game days. We will also hold some in-person arts classes indoors. Please refer to the catalog for more details.
To prepare for this next step, HFC staff will undergo training on our new protocols. We will also have a virtual session available to all members that will explain the new guidelines and what to expect when they gather in person - including direction on mask-wearing, and how to maintain social distancing. While these guidelines will evolve, the safety of our members will always be the priority. Please check back on this page for the most up to date information, .
Thank you to our members and caregivers who replied to our survey about returning to in-person programming. Your feedback was extremely helpful. Also, thank you to our staff who have adapted over the past year and helped our members stay connected. And, thank you to our board of directors, donors, partners and all supporters who made sure HFC continued to thrive during the most challenging of times. We are incredibly grateful.
See you soon!
